Derek was brought up under the ideals and importance of being a financial representative and, in following in his father’s footsteps, is dedicating himself to a life of helping others pursue financial security. Derek assists individuals and small businesses in developing a customized investment or retirement plan to help ensure that they can work towards their short- and long-term financial goals while also aiming to protect them from any unexpected roadblocks that could arise in the future. He works with a team of advisors who pride themselves on working comprehensively with clientele in any life stage or financial situation.
Derek was raised in Jasper since the age of 5 and is a graduate of Jasper High School. He went on to attend Indiana University in Bloomington. He graduated in four years with a BSBA while majoring in finance and accounting. Derek then moved back to Jasper and joined his dad, Gary, at Eagle Crest Financial Services in June 2014.

Derek and his wife, Amanda, live in Jasper, where he is a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church, the IU Alumni Association, and the Rotary Club of Jasper. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, reading, kayaking, and watching sports with friends and family.
